Gray's 100-word story for June 21, 2025

Gray wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on June 21, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

"It's uh... it's detailed," Molly says, leaning over Kevin's shoulder to look at his computer screen. Kevin sighs, minimizing LightWave and, quickly, LimeWire, though Molly sees it and decides not to comment. She can't afford the comics he wants at the rate he reads them, anyway. "Come on," she says. "It's good. I just don't get why it always has to be creepy. Why can't you make like... flowers?" "Flowers," he says, tone flatter than Christoper Lloyd at the end of Roger Rabbit. "Mom, when you watch a movie, do you watch it 'cause it's pretty?" "Sometimes." "Ugh," he says.
