magisternihil's 100-word story for June 24, 2025

magisternihil wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on June 24, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

He calls me Woody. Can you believe that? Look, I don’t want to sound critical, but he poses me in ridiculous stances to “give inspiration for movement” and then slaps paint on the canvas and calls it art. I mean, what am I for? He could create the same effect by dropping the canvas down the stairs and hurling a pot of paint after it. I’m a highly detailed recreation of the human form capable of demonstrating finesse and refinement and he uses me to justify kindergarten-quality art that isn’t even good enough for the fridge. I’m out of here!
