magisternihil's 100-word story for July 6, 2025

magisternihil wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on July 6, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

“What’s a ‘meforever’” asked Kelly, “and moreover, why would you bring me here to declare your love for it?” Simon groaned. “Look, you try hanging over the edge of the building while you paint sometime. It’s damn scary up there.” Kelly tapped her chin and shook her head. “It would be no big deal to fix it. Just paint over the ‘forever’ and do that part again, just a foot or so farther along.” Simon watched and waited, worried she was serious, until she broke into giggles. “Come on. I’m hungry. Let’s go get some meforever. It comes highly recommended.”
