Fresh allowance. Jamie instantly used it to buy the latest romance role-playing game. At this rate, he would probably graduate high school without a first date. The screen lit up in black and white. The game’s setting was in some sort of run-down community house, barred with rusted balconies threatening to fall off. On the highest floor were the words “LOVE ME FOREVER” dripped with black ink. The vibe was off, Jamie thought. Loneliness pushed him to continue. The main female character popped up. Her eyes were large with exaggerated pixels in it. She blinked. Jamie was inside the game.
