thaopixelpoet's 100-word story for July 8, 2025

thaopixelpoet wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on July 8, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

My name is Heidi. No one calls me that, though. They know of me as "the boulder with a baby face sticking its togue out." I know, stage names, right? It's a nice garden, or maybe a park. I see five more stone sculptures around me. The one I see every day is across the pavement. He is a very sad man, crouching with his chin on his folded right hand, grumpy eyebrows and all. I wonder what kind of strawberry he likes. Then on my right, further down the road is a little frog. I'm obviously the prettiest here.
