“What do you think the plural of Pegasus is? Pegasuses or Pegasi, or it like that octopus thing you go on about. What is it, octopuppies?” Tobyn snorted. “Octopodes. Honestly, do you ever listen?” He liked verbal sparring with Gus, but sometimes it was beyond ridiculous. “And it would be the same as multiple Tobyns or Guses. Pegasus was the name of Hercules’s winged horse, not its breed.” Gus tapped his chin and pondered. “Okay, so Pegasuses? Are you sure it’s not Pegasuppies?” Tobyn knew this was leading to ‘Gusuppies.’ Why couldn’t he just have a normal lunch for once?
