One hundred. I’ve been out here for one hundred days. Grinding out one hundred words every day. Ten thousand words. And for what? Am I any closer to my destination than when I started this journey? Or am I just spinning my wheels? I’m keeping my streak alive, but some days it feels as if I understand less with each passing day. I want to unlock the secret memories that my psyche has hidden from me, but my past is still a confused jumble of dissociated fragments of memory. Just leaves swirling in the breeze. But I continue. I must.
