Gray's 100-word story for July 22, 2025
Gray wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on July 22, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.
I lived like a space man for over thirty years. I worked for Onkio Haus in Tokyo, managing the recording studio, and lived in a capsule apartment in Ginza. It really was like living in a space ship -- even the part where two inches of asbestos was sprayed all over everything to keep us from burning up). Everything was round or sharply angular, no in-between, and matte. The stereo, for which I paid extra, looked like I could use it to steer into another galaxy. It felt like I was Freeman Lowell. It's lucky I was young and imaginative then.
