The deadline looms like a treeline rushing up to meet you. You thought you had more time but now you’re airborne, weightless, out of control, hoping to land clean. Everything blurs: the panicked rush, the caffeine, the half-finished thoughts stitched together mid-flight. There’s no turning back, no time to rethink. Just you, the work, and the yawning drop beneath. You feel the cold bite of consequence in the air. But in this final suspended moment, there’s also clarity—focus sharpened by urgency. You brace for impact, praying it’s enough. It won’t be pretty. But maybe, just maybe, you’ll stick the landing.
