Hide's 100-word story for July 24, 2025
Hide wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on July 24, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.
It’s a scratched red pool ball. Nothing to it, right? Wrong. You’re not manic-pixie-dream-girling enough. There are endless possibilities here. You could take it home and use it as a nose for a giant clown sculpture. You could drill three holes in it and teach a small monkey how to play bowling. You could see if you could trade it for a beer pitcher. You could throw it at a nazi. You could try to open it. Maybe there’s a little faerie inside who will be grateful that you freed her! Do I want it? Oh no, I’m good thanks.
