thaopixelpoet's 100-word story for July 25, 2025

"Woah! Twins?! I would've never expected twins with that tiny baby bump you had!" Vivian exclaimed loudly in the hospital, playing with my newborns awkwardly like a "cool aunt" would. "Yea, I... I still can't believe it. I was sure that would be a LOT more painful." Whatever happened, happened. I'm quite glad I have twins after all. That means no more childbirth—I'm set for life! "But what's this scan code pattern on the babies?" Vivian inquires, lifting them up. "Beep. Infant number 467329-2525." A nurse came by with a barcode scanner. "I'm sorry, ma'am. This one's not yours."
