“I’m not eavesdropping,” Catherine Vu whispered as she made a double white chocolate espresso with foam. The couple paused for a second before continuing their conversation. “What you’re saying doesn’t even interest me in the slightest,” she muttered, sliding an iced americano with lavender syrup across the counter. This time they fully stopped. “Excuse me, what did you say?,” the man asked. “Nothing,” Catherine said, confidently. “Are you listening to our conversation?” the woman said, eyebrows raised. “Maybe don’t talk about how your boss is cheating on his husband with both of you together,” Catherine said. “Just as a tip.”
