joeislove's 100-word story for August 2, 2025
joeislove wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on August 2, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.
Geoffrey takes trophies. He knows it’s not a good idea. He’s seen enough documentaries about his fellows to know that they will eventually be his downfall, but the compulsion is too great to ignore. He reasons that removing the dental work will hinder the identification. But he knows that there is plenty of DNA at the scene, given his style. Not his, of course; he is always fully encased in latex as he works. When he cleans up later, the aroma of sweat and arousal is rank… pungent. He knows he shouldn’t. Mother always told him. But Geoffrey never listened.
