The wind whipped through the Wilson's back yard at a brisk clip blowing the towels in the line back and forth violently. Summer was coming to an end and even though the rains wouldn't come for another few weeks, the chill hung uncomfortably in the evening air. Soon the daylight would wane earlier and earlier and the nights would grow longer and longer until the following spring. Mrs. Wilson stood watching he laundry sway to and fro waiting for nature to dry it. She always felt a litte wistfully sad this time of year...just before the sun said goodbye.
