Hide's 100-word story for August 6, 2025

The cabin in the woods is quaint, during the day. Birds sing gaily, and the ocean gently laps at the shore to remind you of how peaceful everything is. Fresh lemon trees grow, year round. They’re a genetic marvel. But at night… the full moon comes up. Crickets play their tiny violins for you, and the house is cozy with a crackling fire. Oh, you think something bad is going to happen? You’re right. This is actually hell. Imagine being bored in this tiny cabin for fucking eons, with only lemons to eat. Better go repent now. I’m watching you.
