I had one of those zombie come-downs. Standing at the top of these stairs I had just summited, feeling like one of those corpses littering the summit of Everest, moaning for brains. I could feel the whole city judging me. You ever feel that? The ignominious crushing weight of judgement of a whole city? It's a drag. I felt like I needed nothing more than another little bump, but the baggie of fun times had been exhausted hours earlier, and the post-MDMA serotonin crash had sucked all the color out of the world. And miles to go before I sleep.
