thaopixelpoet's 100-word story for August 13, 2025

thaopixelpoet wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on August 13, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

“Ooooh, I get it!” Elaine from my neighborhood exclaimed loudly with her high pitched squeaky voice that contradicted with her voluminous figure, who should be walking her chihuahua along and not bothering me so much. “It’s Banksy!” She looked at me, as if awaiting for a confirmation. “No, it’s not. Banksy’s work isn’t even great.” I replied as I sprayed my new house with oranges and violets. It had a metallic undertone, with tilting windows. The walls looked like used aluminum foil, wrapped unevenly, and one couldn’t tell how many floors there were. No visible doors. I didn’t want guests.
