joeislove's 100-word story for August 15, 2025

We were tiny gods in those days. Striding through those seedy streets, out of our minds, in love with each, in lust with life. As weird as we wanted to be, leaving sparkling trails of frizzy, staticky psychic power. I think about Clara all the time. I wonder where she is, what she's doing, if she caved to the pressure of the world and lost her sparkle or if she's still blazing like a supernova, lighting up the night wherever she ended up. In those sweaty, sticky summer nights, we were insane geniuses, but time makes fools of us all.
