We look across water and see only the surface unaware or unwilling to see the world beneath the thin surface teeming with unobserved life curling through the currents the miniature waves made by spirited swimmers immerse yourself in both worlds and see that everything above the surface can be solved by simply forgetting it exists ducking below the veil and letting yourself float float float through the cool embrace of the pool until your burning lungs remind you of your obligations and trophies and you burst through disruptive and violent and tread back to shore certain you left something behind
