The group of engineers stood in stunned silence while the thousands year old lake water receded slowly. It was being siphoned into the new neighboring reservoir in an effort to utilize the enriched bottom soil for their country's waning agriculture. Never would any of them have thought that they would be seeing what they were seeing. More dwellings continued to be revealed with each passing day. The entire crew had the same questions running through their heads: Who were the people who lived there? How did these buildings end up here? Was it a natural disaster? Would time tell them?
