JKWriter wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on August 25, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

"Oh great and wise Jackalope please guide us in your ways!!" they chanted repeatedly. In the shadows, a wary set of glinting green eyes peered out onto the crowd of hooded figures surrounding a massive iron horned rabbit idol. It wasn't every day that you saw such a sight, but then again a lot of things one wouldn't see daily were happening in this strange, sleepy little town. When Misty first moved here she thought she was going to die of boredom. Little did she know...this place was a hopping bed of weird and wondrous people, places, and things.
