“Where are you taking us?” asked LLoyd. He looked up and down the street. Bonnie grinned. “When have I let you down? Just wait, we’re almost there.” Suddenly, she stopped the car and hopped out without pause. Lloyd shrugged, slipped out, and followed her, looking at the corrugated metal sheeting and draped cloth, all grey and textured lifelessness. “Okay, put them on,” Bonnie said, her face filled with childlike wonder. He slipped the special glasses out of their case and slipped them on. Color exploded around him, alive and vibrant. Lloyd gasped. Bonnie took his hand. “See, I told you.”
