JKWriter wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on August 30, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

He wasn't sure how he'd gotten himself in this pickle, but Charlie Bear was completely beside himself. There was nothing so disconcerting as finding oneself hanging precariously by the top of one's head in a place that one had never been before. Yet here he was...suspended from something or other like a misfit bird feeder! What was worse, every so often he found himself doused with water, but from whence it can he had no idea...just somewhere above him. What a strange kettle of fish this was! If he'd been in the mood the mystery would've been thrilling.
