It really is like watching art--her hands move so smoothly, pouring the tea in the middle of each cup without even looking. Picking up the tray and setting the cups down at each table without stopping. The whispered "Mhm" or "Ah" that everyone somehow understands means "You're welcome." A lot can happen in the world on any given day. Here, though, in the tea shop, all is peace. There is a certain comfort in a hot cup of tea, yes--but also in watching the finely honed craft of a woman who is keeper of her own tea house.
