joeislove's 100-word story for September 5, 2025

Trees are a lot softer than you think they will be. If you have to crash a plane, find some nice big fluffy looking trees. Set up for landing and flare right above the treetops. Let the airspeed bleed off and hold it airborne for as long as you can. When the wing finally stalls, if you did it right, you’ll settle right into those trees and the limbs will break your fall just enough to come to a landing with few serious injuries. You can maybe even use the plane again. If you can get it out of there.
