JKWriter wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on September 6, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

"For a billion dollars... you'd think this guy would have at least chosen a better color for this monstrosity," one reporter whisper to another. Dozens of them were standing outside waiting for the owner to invite them in for an open house interview. They'd been there a good forty-five minutes and hadn't seen hide nor hair of one of the wealthiest douche bags that there ever was. Everything he owned cost him way too much money and everything he owned was just hideously ostentatious. Eventually he strolled outside and yelled arrogantly through a bullhorn, "Are you ready to see greatness?"
