joeislove's 100-word story for September 10, 2025

I knew this place was perfect the moment I saw it. The quirky little bookstore downstairs didn't get a lot of customers, so they wouldn't be bothered by the noise I'd be making upstairs. The owner of the shop is practically deaf. I imagined I could set off the bomb I was building and she'd keep dusting the shelves. A little cramped and the bathroom was criminally archaic, but I wouldn't be staying here long anyway. And the best part? His motorcade passes right in front of the building. I'll have to get the shopkeeper to close early that day.
