joeislove's 100-word story for September 11, 2025

We woke up in a junkyard about fifty miles from anything. Allie was still armored-up for bar-hopping. From where I sat, she looked like she was fighting a pretty fierce hangover. I knew I would be, too, once I stopped being drunk. It's not the weirdest place I've woken up, by far. What's weird is that Allie's here. Usually when I black out and go wandering, it's a solo excursion. Allie is a trooper, though. And game for anything. So not totally surprising she's here. And kinda nice, I must admit. But how do we get home? Where are we?
