magisternihil's 100-word story for September 12, 2025

magisternihil wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on September 12, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

They call themselves “The People’s Brigade for Anonymity,” but honestly everyone else calls them Sackheads. They became so horrified by how much of their identity was online that they went to the extreme of removing themselves from it. Now they don’t even go out without one of their silly bags on their heads just in case they show up in the background of someone’s picture. Wait, you’re considering it, aren’t you? Why does this keep happening? Here, take this bag until you can get your own. They meet on Tuesdays down at the old millworks. Best of luck to you.
