A hole in the wall. A hidden little gin joint. A speakeasy, if you will. Although frankly none of us were easy in any way, and there was little speaking once the doors closed behind us. We stacked our weapons on a table against the back wall. Some of us did drink, although most of us relied on other methods of relaxation. It could all start again at any moment, after all. I wanted to stay sharp, so I just reorganized my pack, noting with growing concern how little ammunition I had remaining. I’ll have to be more careful now.
