“Keep the audience hyped and DON’T LOSE YOUR HEAD!” Those words were chanted as a mantra when Flick learned how to be a mascot. Now the hollow emptiness of the oversized head mocked him from the floor. He held his own in a silent, panicked scream. “What’s up, dude?” asked his handler. “Th-the head. It fell off!” Flick could already feel the character persona leaving him. “Dude, it’s a pizza joint and we’re getting paid minimum rate.” She picked up the head and forced it back on. “Boom, you’re back. Now sell.” Grateful, Topper the Harlequin began to dance again.
