My brothers tormented me with stupid pranks. It was endless, and my pleas to be left alone fell on deaf ears as their need for cruelty grew. They thought throwing my shoes over the power line was funny. They laughed as I got the folding ladder out of the garage and set it up. They kept laughing up until the ladder tilted and I fell. There was no “don’t tell Mom and Dad” this time. I got a cast and they got grounded, AND had to buy me new shoes. They don’t know I fell on purpose. Best prank ever.
