“I’ll admit between us that your sister’s art has never made much sense to me.” Roger stared at the wall of hands and, while unsettling, it seemed more like a Halloween decoration. “That’s because you never try to see meaning beyond what your eyes see, Dad,” said Tyler. “Look at the title.” “‘Bus Ride’. I can’t see what this has to do with busses at—“ Roger stopped, realization hitting him like the wall of bricks in front of him. He looked across the gallery at his daughter as she talked to people, smiling with sad eyes, and started to see.
