It is humiliating what we have become. In centuries past the temples built to honor me were towering pyramids of stone, consecrated with the blood of countless sacrifices. Mysterious, powerful, awesome. And not "awesome" the way these new worshippers use the word, I must point out. These modern-day zealots use that word too much. "This ice cream is awesome!" Oh really! It fills you with terror to behold, does it? Idiots... At least they haven't forgotten us, though they speak not our names. But each day I consume their worshipful, reverent gazes as they enter and behold my terrifying countenance.
