magisternihil's 100-word story for September 26, 2025
magisternihil wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on September 26, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.
There used to be seven of us writing the world. It was all possibilities when we started, a blank canvas for our ideas to populate. Imagine it! But you know how it is. Greener grass in other pastures. I tried telling Besh that the grass could be greener here if he wrote it as such. He coldly told me I didn’t understand metaphor as he left. After him, To’rtta followed, muttering about multiplicity. The others soon followed, one by one, for their own reasons, until only I remained as the steward of this world’s story. It’s not going well anymore.
