thaopixelpoet's 100-word story for September 26, 2025

thaopixelpoet wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on September 26, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

It was a Dead Poet Society. There were five creaky tables with their corresponding crippling chairs. On each, a hefty, dusty, and probably haunted typewriter sat arrogantly, daydreaming about their glory days. Susan, the furthest typewriter on the left, boasted: "When I was in use, I typed out the BEST thriller and investigative novels! What was his name... Conan Donkey or something like that!" Heather, in the middle, sighs: "My human companion was also of that genre, such a weird guy, but such talent. Edgar Poetry." They took turn typing down the memory lane, in front of an AI kingdom.
