JKWriter's 100-word story for October 5, 2025
JKWriter wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on October 5, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.
Twas a dark cloudy morning in the moor. The smell of war clung to the air as a brief respite from the savagery offered only a moment of quiet from the savagery. Tallion sat, like a bird, perched on the end of her horse waiting for the enemy to reappear over the ridge. Sitting only a few paces away was her lover, who was also waiting from the loan tower. It worried her to see Garom trapped in the Death Snare, but she knew it was the best early detection that they had. He had to survive...he had to.
