PaigePrier's 100-word story for October 5, 2025
PaigePrier wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on October 5, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.
The wood was gray after stealing all of the storm clouds, heard rustling inside of the structure. The noises they made were less soft and more sloshing than we expected. Some growled and threatened lightning, but their capture prevented them having the inspiring space to spark that particular danger. Calmer ones, in the back corner, were allowed to seep out, mist the sky with their lighter appearance. They whispered about the mountain, somewhat defeated, but going to fetch the rain god we had been seeking all along. Our plan was almost complete. He would come, we would have our champion.
