They stared at the wall of interconnected locks cascading down the surface of the door like a metallic river frozen in time. There was no obvious way to get through the door to the next objective. “Is there even a clue?” asked Sim. He pulled his hair out of his face with both hands and scanned the area. Noc stared, transfixed. She didn’t bother to look around, because she had already found it. She took a step to the side and the face appeared, a trick of the textures. “May we enter?” she asked it. Slowly, the door swung open.
