Every year we have to cut these locks off. The first year it had been left for a while; I think we trashed about fifty tons of them that time. The locals keep asking the city to fix the bridge so these lovestruck nincompoops can't attach them, but the tourism board says it's a big reason people come visit this part of town. Apparently it's from some movie. Anyway, we cut 'em and toss 'em. I like to imagine the couples breaking up as I do. But let's be honest: they probably broke up on the plane ride home already.
