JKWriter's 100-word story for October 8, 2025

JKWriter wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on October 8, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

He touched the surface of the water ever so slightly watching the concentric circles...one after the other until they seemed to fade and disappear. As they neared the end of their cycle he would touch the water so it would magically start all over again. He felt the tension of the day leave his body with each zen tap on the crystal clear surface. The alarm on his watch buzzed softly letting him know his lunch break was nearly over. At least there was tomorrow at the lake...where he could lose himself once again in the soothing ripples.
