The town felt like they had to do it, if for no other reason than to avoid another instance of a man sitting down at Le Chien Salé in only a Speedo asking for the wine menu. So it was made clear. Beach wear belonged at the beach, full clothing belonged off the beach. Then locals argued that the town couldn’t control what people did on their own property, so the town geniuses extended the lines throughout. Traffic accidents abounded as people couldn’t tell which lines were for traffic and which were for decency. All I wanted was some wine.
