Yeah, my dad was a fan of the movie. He always talked about how he saw it on the big screen at a drive-in theater. Have you heard of those? People just pulling their cars in an hanging a clanky metal speaker on the window. Hardly surround sound. But then he got older and started tinkering. Kept muttering about how "it has to be possible" and banging away into the early hours, much to the neighbors' irritation. He got it to hover. We still don't know how. Has to be pulled by mules, though, so it's hardly space age technology.
