PaigePrier wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on October 19, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

Everyone has a place. This was, undoubtedly his place. Illustrative graffiti, ever changing, gave a general map to the inside, if one knew how to interpret it. People called him different things; fun, whimiscal, playful, childish, immature, delightful. All these names said more about the people who said them than about him. I liked to use it as a litmus test. Introduce him to someone, and see what they said. I tried very hard not to tell them anything beforehand, and wait for them to say something in their own time later. It saved time. I hope she likes him...
