Kendra had been so nervous about meeting Jack’s nieces that she had barely slept. These kids were his world, and they adored him, so of course she felt like she had to have their approval. It didn’t go well at first. There was the mix up of names, for starters. Why did all their names start with D? Who did that? And then she lost her glasses. She realized they were on the back of her head the moment she heard their laughter. She turned to look at them, and the youngest, through peels of giggles, said, “Do it again!”
