As Trina tiptoed across the floor, she caught movement out of the corner of her eye. A man was standing in the doorway, looking sheepish. “Are you Madame Adamina?” he asked softly. She calmed her racing heart. “Y-Yes, that’s me,” she lied. “The door was open, so I thought it was okay to come in. Can you do a reading for me?” He looked hopefully at the cards on the table. There was nothing to do but go along with it. The old lady upstairs was clearly a sound sleeper. Trina shrugged, paused her burglary plans, and shuffled the cards.
