"Vacancy for Lighthouse Keeper - remote, peaceful amidst the sea; salary negotiable, food and lodging provided.." the advertisement read. I have been out of a job for six months. Bills were mounting and with the need to feed a family of five, I was desperate. I said goodbye to the family and left knowing it was the right decision...but not an easy one. The train ride to that city was a long, arduous one but it was worth it. "I'll have money to send home, finally!" I comforted myself. I gazed at the vast sea outside the lighthouse...peaceful indeed!
