magisternihil wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on November 1, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.

They built the bridge to connect their two houses, back when the kids were dating, after Jesh’s spill into the water late that one night. Both fathers decided to save their children from potential hormone-induced death and gave them a path to use. Now Jesh and Sabra are all grown, with kids of their own and a house in the city. On top of that, Sabra sold the house across the way when Carlo died. So Reg wasn’t too torn up when that ‘destination wedding’ party stupidly piled on for a picture and collapsed the bridge. Best entertainment in years.
