JKWriter's 100-word story for November 3, 2025
JKWriter wrote the following micro-story on Hectalex on November 3, 2025. Each story on Hectalex is inspired by a daily visual prompt and must be exactly 100 words.
"Nine hundred and ninety-seven empty spay paint cans...only three left to go!" Flick exclaimed excitedly. He'd managed to get more paintings done this month than the last one. Now if only someone would just buy a few of his masterpieces, he'd be able to clear some room up in his studio. More than just one someone might have been able to buy them if he ever got the word out. That was the hardest part about being an artist...self-promotion. The art was easy, the tooting of one's own horn...awkward and excruciating. Not everyone was born a salesperson.
