He was just sixteen with nowhere to go. It was the 80s during the height of the punk scene in New York City and he was one of thousands of kids whose parents had let them wander the streets and subways...homeless. Their reasons varied, but it always came back then believing their child's hair and clothes were the worst kind of rebellion. For this boy...the last straw for his parents was the foot tall mohawk haircut. He was walking through the kitchen door one minute and the next he found himself sleeping on a bench in Central Park.
